MOTHER'S DAY

Today we want to talk about a special day, the day of the year devoted to Mom.

Mother's Day is a celebration celebrated in many countries around the world. In many of these countries (including Italy), the feast is celebrated in May (the second Sunday of May), while in others it is celebrated in March (such as San Marino).

The origins of this festival are very ancient, we have to go back in time and up to antiquity when polytheistic people celebrated the female deities linked to the earth and its new fertility. In Ancient Greece his enemies devoted their genitals a day of the year, and the party coincided with the celebrations in honor of Rea, the mother of all gods.

In Italy the first to celebrate the feast was a pastor of Borgo di Tordibelli, in Assisi; Such was the success of this idea that in the Italian Parliament it came to discuss a law that provided for this day.

We want to wish all mothers!

Let's have fun with our moms playing at Napolitan Revenge.

'O TRICCHEBALLACHE

Neapolitan classical music is known all around the world, you can include, free sample, the South Korea or Japan where the tenors are formed in the Neapolitan music courses and where entire concerts are performed in the Neapolitan language.

Naples boasts, in addition to classical music, also a popular music that accompanied it for centuries with instruments that are typical of this city, such as the tammorra, the scetavajasse, the putipù, castanets and 'o triccheballacche which we want to talk about it you today.

Wikipedia tells us that: 'o triccheballacche (also called "Tric-ballac" or Triaccabalacca "or" Trick Ballack ") is a traditional southern Italian musical instrument, known in the Naples area, consisting of three wooden hammers framed between their.
This instrument of the Neapolitan tradition, which is also known in almost all of South Italy, consists of a wooden frame in which slide two hammers also of wood, which makes the player to beat against a third central hammer and secured to the frame. Often, the outer faces of the hammers are applied rattles and bells, to make sure that every beat of the hammer produces a percussive sound.

Whenever you play these instruments comes the joy, the spirit of being together because they are simple and not only professionals can play percussion them but also those who delight for pure spirit of jokes. Think of the Naples of the past until the nineteenth century when entire neighborhoods took to the streets, and with these tools were celebrating and rejoicing. Even today, these tools are used to cheer and encourage such their sports heroes.

Carnevale a Napoli

The gesture of Neapolitans

The language of our people is double, with the words, and with gestures. The second is full of grace, and philosophy together. <<It is surprising to see two people, which in the distance, and from the uproar of the most populated streets of Naples are spoken between them, and them understand very well>>.  Wrote in 1819 Andrea de Jorio (1769 Procida - Naples 1851), the Neapolitan archaeologist who set out to demonstrate the persistence of the Greek gesture in that of the modern inhabitants of Naples (cfr. The expressions of the ancient investigated in managing Neapolitan, 1832 , repr. anast. 1979.

Even earlier in 1816, tourists from Britain and Germany who came to Naples were fascinated by the Neapolitan customs, which began to be described profusely in the increasing number of prints that were published, especially for the benefit of foreign visitors. One of these prints in 1825, Saverio della Gatta, was entitled "Muti Neapolitan speakers."

The facial expressions of the Neapolitan is unique, just think of the expressions of the mask of Pulcinella, that of Totò, Eduardo, Viviani and to that of the late Troisi.

The people of Naples has communicator; non-verbal communication serves to emphasize the verbal when the Neapolitan can express their theatricality.

‘O Presepe, simbologia e tradizione

NAPLES, NAPOLI FOOTBALL CLUB AND ‘A CAZZIMMA

Today we would like to write about football the sport more loved by Italians, the most famous all around the world, passing through Naples, of course.

In Naples there is no derby; Naples means Napoli football Team. The sky blue shirt, the Maradona’s mith, the anger against Higuain and, obviously, ‘a cazzimma.

Speaking about football, what does ‘a cazzimma means?

It’s the healthy competitive nastiness, the attitude of doing everything possible to reach Team’s objective: to win and to make the others lose.

It’s ‘a cazzimma that make supporters happy regardless of the outcome, because a player who has ‘a cazzimma has the right determination and the shirt sweat as it deserves.

It’s the ball entering the net after the magic piece of skill that make supporters jump and only the great players have.

Beyond football, Napoli and ‘a cazzimma meets each others in Napolitan Revenge, the app where you can enjoy ‘a cazzimma a carte scoperte while playing card. Free for IOS and Androind.
